RFP Memorial Plaque

Criteria
The following criteria shall be used to install a past member on the Memorial plaque:
  1. The person must have been a member in good standing of the Association.
  2. They must have contributed to the betterment of recreation in their community, zone or Alberta.
  3. Five members in good standing are required to endorse the nomination of the past member. Included with the nomination shall be the proposed inscription that shall not exceed three sentences or 100 words. This inscription should include a description of how the past member has contributed to recreation in their community, zone or Alberta.
  4. The Association administration will confirm they were a member in good standing.
  5. The nomination shall be considered by the Past Presidents Committee to ensure it meets the criteria, and that the inscription is appropriate.

Recognition Process

  1. If the past member nomination meets the criteria the Past President will commission the Association administration to have the brass plate produced and installed on the Memorial Plaque.
  2. The Memorial plaque will be on display at each conference of the Association.
  3. At an official function at each conference of the Association the Past President will identify the names of past members who have been installed on the Memorial plaque.
