Swim Instructor

Evaluate student performance and accomplishments, and keep records of participant performance and attendance.

Ensure safety procedures are followed and deal with questions and concerns regarding swimming lessons.

Prepare and organize equipment, supplies, and general cleaning tasks.

Be at least 16 years of age.

Current Swim for Life Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor/Examiner, and Lifesaving CPR Instructor/Examiner, (valid within 24 months) are required.

Current Bronze Cross or National Lifeguard certification (valid within 24 months) is required.

Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) level "C", and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications (valid within 12 months) from an approved Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) provider are required.

Completion of the Bronze Medals Award 2021 Mandatory Update (Lifesaving Society) is required.

Previous experience leading recreation programs or teaching swim lessons is an asset.

Experience in a customer service environment is an asset.

Daytime availability and previous volunteer work will also be considered an asset.

You are a strong communicator with demonstrated adaptability and team leadership skills.

A security clearance will be conducted.

Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
